The ribbing of this beautiful romantic style fan is made
of bone, very nicely carved, pierced, decorated and
lacquered by hand. The double cotton leaf features, on
the recto, a beautiful hand-painted romantic scene, and
on the verso, a complementary painting representing a
pedestal with flowers (not shown here). The size of the
unfold fan is about 51 by 27 cm (20 by 10
¾ inches), and when closed
it is 27 cm (10 ¾ inches)
long.
